My name is Trevor but most people know me
by my stage name “Trippy Trev”.

I’m fortunate to spend most of my days in complete solitude in the rolling hills  of the Barossa Valley where I take the time to harness the natural energy and build my practice of healing.

Many of my days are spent in silence with only the the sounds of nature and the company of animals. I live by the principal of Ahimsa which leads me to follow a strict vegan lifestyle.

Heartworks LomiLomi Massage

also known as Loving Hands, Hawaiian Temple Style or Kahuna Bodywork

This beautiful holistic massage is deeply relaxing, nurturing and healing. It takes you to a deep, quiet place inside yourself. Your breath slows, your mind is free and relaxed.

This is a full body massage, the rhythm is very relaxing with strokes going all the way from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet.  I massage both over and under your body, using my hands, elbows and forearms. I work gently but deeply into your muscles with continuous flowing strokes as I move to the vibrations of the music.  I will totally nurture your body enabling you to relax, give in and simply be.

Half way through I’ll ask you to turn over.  I’ll clear your sinuses with a gentle face and neck massage before resuming the rhythmic flow over and under your body.  I will rotate and stretch your limbs in ways so subtle and focused that you will feel the release of tension deeply within your muscles and bones.  Your stomach will be gently massaged to balance your internal organs and your meridian lines will be stimulated to promote energy flow.

Just as no two bodies are the same, no two treatments will be the same.  As lomi lomi is an intuitive skill your treatment may be slow and relaxing or sometimes faster and more invigorating depending on how your body responds. You may find me massaging two different parts of your body simultaneously – this is to stop your brain from focusing on any one area to help you relax.

My goal is to rejuvenate your mind, body and spirit by removing energy blockages and opening energy pathways within your body.

I have also studied at the Thai Massage School of Chang Mai. If I feel a deeper or alternative option is needed to help alleviate specific problems I may incorporate specific Thai Massage techniques.

“Heartworks lomi lomi is a  slow
meditative form of bodywork.”

What to expect during your massage

We begin with a brief chat to discuss any special requirements, requests or questions you have.  I will ask you to undress and lie face down on the massage table.  Lomi lomi requires constant movement over and under your entire body so to avoid interrupting the continuous flow of the massage be prepared to show some skin.  A sarong will be used to preserve your modesty.

I use a high quality coconut oil as I massage you, please advise if you would prefer a special oil.  In addition to feeling absolutely bliss-full you can expect to go home glowing with wonderfully nourished (if slightly oily) hair and skin.

As a human being you came into this world being touched and whatever your experiences in this life touch was likely involved. Each time you were touched, the emotions related to that touch were stored in your mind and in your body’s tissues. As well as the emotions of pleasure and happiness you may also have stored the emotions of stress and fear. In some cases your body may have been holding memories of a trauma long forgotten and when your body finally relaxes that memory can surface as you become more connected to being in your body.

Lomi Lomi massage is a healing touch that allows the body to release these stresses.

One of the unexpected reactions to this release can be an inexplicable physical or emotional response. You may experience an uncontrollable urge to laugh or cry, your stomach may start rumbling and a bout of flatulence isn’t unheard of. You may even have a sudden desire to stop your treatment.

You never need to feel unsafe, ashamed or embarrassed by your body, your emotions or your reactions. If you find yourself feeling uncomfortable or overwhelmed simply let me know. Whilst you are with me your needs and comfort is my only focus.

As a positive note, If you do find yourself on the massage table laughing or crying then you are in a true state of body-mind connection. Go with the experience. Relax, breathe deeply and allow your body and mind to free itself of the past. Welcome the release, accept it as your body’s way of finding balance and leading you to a higher state of health, both emotionally and physically.

Reiki

There is a  non-physical energy (called “Prana” by many Asian cultures, “Chi” by the Chinese, and “Ki” by the Japanese) that exists and gives life to every living organism.

For thousands of years people have sought ways to harness this energy in an effort to control and direct its flow in and around our bodies. Acupuncture, Feng Shui, Meditation, Tai Chi, and Yoga are among the disciplines that have been developed and used to harness this energy, with much success and like those ancient practices Reiki is a form of hands-on healing that dates back thousands of years to its origins in India and the East. It is another method that allows the practitioner to access this pure energy and allow it to flow through them and heal themselves and others.

The original name and techniques were lost due to the traditional method of passing down knowledge by word of mouth, thankfully, it was re-discovered by a Japanese monk and scholar named Dr. Mikao Usui who called the technique “Reiki,” meaning “Universal Life Force.”

Clearing energy blockages and encouraging this life-giving energy to flow unencumbered throughout the body is the goal of every Reiki treatment. This holistic modality works on the body, mind, and spirit to stimulate the body’s own natural healing abilities.

Reiki energy is channelled through me during a treatment. It enhances your body’s natural healing ability and promotes wellbeing.

Reiki treatment stands on its own as a healing practice and is also safely used to support orthodox and complementary medicine. Reiki doesn’t interfere with or diminish the intended effects of other health or medical practices.
